What is Dance Company?
The Dance Company is a group of dedicated, dynamic and versatile young people at the Tricia Sloan Dance Center, who enjoy and love the art form of
DANCE.
Members of Dance Company take the required number of dance classes for their assigned company each week thus building strong dance technique.
At the weekly company rehearsals new choreography is taught that includes,
hip hop, lyrical, musical theater, ballet and tap. These routines are rehearsed and performed in the annual company show, recitals,
competitions and special events throughout the year.
Dance company members' ages range from 6 through 18.
The mission of Dance Company is for each member to...
- Fully develop their dance techniques & abilities
- Acquire the sense of dance and performing ability
- Provide participation in many dance/theatrical programs
- Gain confidence & valuable experience while working with professional performers and choreographers
TSDC has 7 Dance Company levels as follows:
- Teeny
- Mini I & Mini II
- Petite
- Intermediate I & Intermediate II
- Junior
- Senior I & Senior II
- Elite
The requirements for each Dance Company are as follows:
Teeny (Level Kinder, 1) |
Take a minimum of 1 class per week Choice of 1 of the following:

Mini I

Take the following 2 classes each week
"Mini 1 Company" Friday 6:30-7:30 "Mini 2 Company" Friday 6:30-7:30 |
** Pre-Pointe class does not count as a ballet requirement but can be used as a choice of an additional class requirement.
*** Acro class does not count toward the requirements for Dance Company. |
Petite: (Level 4) |
Take the following 3 classes each week
Friday 7:30-8:45 |
** Pre-Pointe class does not count as a ballet requirement but can be used as a choice of an additional class requirement.
*** Acro class does not count toward the requirements for Dance Company. |
Intermediate I
( 1st year in

Dance Company Weekly Rehearsal Dress Code:
Dance Company members must adhere to the weekly reheartsal dress code. Members need to select one of the following options.
- OPTION 1:
- Bodysuit: Black TSDC embroidered leotard
- Tights: Black or Tan
- Hair: Bunned
- Shoes: Bring all dance shoes
- OPTION 2:
- Top: TSDC embroidered dance top, any color
- Bottom: Black leggings, shorts, or capri pants
- Hair: Bunned
- Shoes: Bring all dance shoes
The benefits of becoming a dance company member are...
- The opportunity to work with professional guest teachers, dancers, choreographers, directors and producers.
- Perform in annual Dance Company Showcase

Who, when and how can you someone join?
- Anyone interested in joining the Dance Company may do so.
- Membership is accepted during the enrollment period, July through October.
- Simply select the appropriate dance company on your registration form.
- Make sure you meet all of the minimum class requirements when enrolling.
The monthly dues for dance company membership are...
- PRICING is based on level of the company member
- Teeny and Mini Dance Company members the monthly dues are $45.00.
- Petite and Intermediate Dance Company members the monthly dues are $55.00.
- Junior, Senior & Elite Dance Company members the monthly dues are $60.00.
Dance Company costume requirements are as follows:
- Each company performs 2 routinesand the finale in the company showcase and June recitals.
- Each company routine requires the purchase of a costume, which is a total of 2 costumes.
- The finale costume is purchased by TSDC with no cost for the damce company members.
