What is Dance Company?
The Dance Company is a group of dedicated, dynamic and versatile young people at the Tricia Sloan Dance Center, who enjoy and love the art form of
DANCE.
Members of Dance Company take the required number of dance classes for their assigned company each week thus building strong dance technique.
At the weekly company rehearsals new choreography is taught that includes, jazz funk, lyrical, musical theater, ballet and tap. These routines are rehearsed and performed in the annual company show, recitals and special appearances throughout the year.
Dance company members' ages range from 6 through 18.
What is the mission of the Dance Company?
The mission of the Dance Company is to have each member...
* fully develop the their dance techniques & abilities
* acquire the sense of dance and performing ability
* provide participation in many dance/theatrical programs
* gain confidence & valuable experience
while working with professional performers and choreographers
What are the different levels of Dance Company?
TSDC has 7 major levels of Dance Companies as follows:
1. Teeny
2. Mini I & Mini II
3. Petite
4. Intermediate I & Intermediate II
5. Junior
6. Senior I & Senior II
7. Elite
What are the requirements of each Dance Company?
Teeny (Level Kinder, 1) |
Take a minimum of 1 class per week Choice of 1 of the following:

Mini I

Take the following 2 classes each week
"Mini 1 Company" Friday 5:30-6:30 "Mini 2 Company" Friday 6:30-7:30 |
** Pre-Pointe class does not count as a ballet requirement but can be used as a choice of an additional class requirement.
*** Acro class does not count toward the requirements for Dance Company. |
Petite: (Levels 4,5) |
Take the following 3 classes each week
Friday 7:30-8:30 |
** Pre-Pointe class does not count as a ballet requirement but can be used as a choice of an additional class requirement.
*** Acro class does not count toward the requirements for Dance Company. |
Intermediate I
( 1st year in
Intermediate, level 5) Intermediate II ( 2nd year in Intermediate, level 6) |
Take the following 4 classes each week
Friday 7:30-9:00 |
** Neither Pointe nor Pre-Pointe class count as a ballet requirement but can be used as a choice of an additional class requirement.

Thursday 7:30-9:00 |

Anyone interested in joining the Dance Company may do so.
Membership is accepted during the enrollment period, July through October.
Simply select the appropriate dance company on your registration form.
Make sure you meet all of the minimum class requirements when enrolling.
What is the cost for dance company?
The weekly cost is only $11.43.
Monthly costs depend on the monthly payment plan selected?
- Dance Company rates depend upon payment plan selected:
- 10 payment plan: $40.00 per month
- 9 payment plan: $44.45 per month
- 8 payment plan:: $50.00 per month
